Baseplate is a Map in Midnight Horrors. It became a permanent map in Version 1.8.1. Its the baseplate template in Roblox Studio.
Features[]
Baseplate is just the baseplate template in Roblox Studio. There isn't any special features about the map except for its size, Baseplate is a very large map. The Red Circle of Oculus appears in the center of the map, around 300 studs from any corners.
Difficulty[]
Baseplate doesn't have any obstacles on it, and it's a large map, making surviving killers (most of the time) easy. Killers that provide a light source are pretty easy on this map due to the size. However, killers that depend on a line of sight such as Super Doom and Giant Bowling Ball are extremely difficult to survive in open maps since there are no obstacles to block their line of sight and charging range.
Trivia[]
- Baseplate was originally added sometime around Version 1.3.8 but was removed in Version 1.3.10.
- In Version 1.3.21 Baseplate was temporarily re-added to the game, with the inclusion of Sans Phone on the Red Circle of Oculus.
- In Version 1.6 (April Fools' 2020), Baseplate was re-added to the game, only to be removed shortly after. In Version 1.20.0 (April Fools' 2021), Baseplate was a permanent map in the game. It was still included in the roster of maps in the event though nothing about it changed other than the skybox and name in the voting screen, it was renamed to "Basedplate".
- In Version 1.21.0 (Easter Update 2021), an egg could be found in this map. The egg would spawn on the Red Circle before driving around when players started chasing it. A Speed Coil is recommended to catching it.
- Before Version 1.45.4 Baseplate was very dark.
