Double Trouble is a Special Round in Midnight Horrors. As its name implies, Double Trouble will randomly spawn in two killers instead of one killer.
Effect[]
As mentioned previously, Double Trouble will randomly choose and spawn in two killers instead of one. This can greatly increase the risk of both killers being split off to different directions, with one killer covering one side of the map in their pursuit for players while the other killer is covering the other side of the map.
Difficulty[]
Some pairs can compliment well with each other and effectively wipe out the majority of the server. For example, James, a killer who can easily be avoided by not moving, can create pressure on nearby players if the other killer (who happens to be a traditional chase killer) is nearby. This can force players to either take the risk and escape, or succumb to the pressure and inevitably die one way or the other. Some pairs can easily be avoidable if both killers happens to use the same AI method. For instance, two traditional chase killers is not as bad if one killer relies on movement detection and the other relying on chases. Some maps may also make it difficult for players to survive a Double Trouble round, especially maps like The Backrooms, Siren Head, and SCP Foundation.
Trivia[]
- In the oldest GUI Double Trouble wasn't named what it is and instead would say "Killer: [Killer name] & [Killer name]".
- Along with Bloodbath rounds, Double Trouble rounds have a rare chance to repeat killers.
- In Version 1.45.0, New round display easter eggs were added alongside an updated GUI. These easter eggs include the following:
- TheManTheKillerTheMan + Double Trouble = "THEMANTHEKILLERTHEMANTHEKILLER".
