fren is a Killer in Midnight Horrors. He was added in Version 1.50.
Behavior[]
fren will chase the nearest player at the same speed as sprinting, making him not seem like much of a threat. Upon getting relatively close to a player, however, fren will laugh and suddenly equip a double-barrel shotgun and begin shooting players with no attack cooldown whatsoever. This will instantly kill players, making him a large threat while provoked. While in this state, fren will move at a speed around the same pace as the Heliotrope Coil.
fren will remain in this state until it is no longer near players for about 5 seconds, after which he will go back into his passive state until he gets near a player again.
Notes[]
- fren does not bypass the Blue Relic.
- fren does not have stun immunity, therefore he can be relocated.
- fren will chase after and be provoked by ally NPCs such as Noobs from the Noob Tube.
- During Ghost rounds, fren's shotgun will still be visible.

- fren is one of the 8 killers currently in-game that start with a lowercase letter, the others being aiden virus, bharati, bob, dancin', fakehat, poopbum, orb & rolling jol.
- fren currently appears in another Roblox game titled Oculus' Game, a game also made by CaptainSpinxs, and is capable of spawning anywhere between Waves 7-9, specifically the 'Hard' difficulty.
- If fren were to kill you in this game the items will not drop, likely because he completely eradicates your character.
- In Version 1.55.0 (April Fools' 2024), fren was renamed to "Friend".
- In Version 1.61.0 (April Fools' 2025), fren was renamed to "friend.".
