Jumpscare is an Emote/Item in Midnight Horrors. It is an exclusive Emote/Item, that is no longer available. It could've been obtained through currently, twelve different ways. To equip the emote, you have to simply hold the item and click. When using the emote, the user slides forward and jumpscares any nearby players, prompting a temporary image on both the user and the victim's screen.
The first way to get the Jumpscare Emote was to react to a message and Blithwin would pick a random winner via a raffle, essentially a giveaway. The winner was KiwiLyfe.
The second way to get the Jumpscare Emote was to speedrun Alyssa breaks into your house ASMR: THE GAME and send a video of mentioned speedrun to Blithwin's discord DMs. The winner was HectofiyHere.
The third way to get the Jumpscare Emote was to be the first to reach Wave 15 on Oculus' Game with video evidence. The winner was bep0.
The (temporary) fourth way to get the Jumpscare Emote was to beat the The Admin Abusers during the April Fools' 2021 event. However, this was changed to the Pipe Bomb shortly after and the emote was permanently removed for the general public. The real fourth way was to reach Wave 21 or higher on Oculus' Game, with video evidence. The winner was Modernnathan24.
The fifth way to get the Jumpscare Emote was to find and obtain all of the badges in find the portnites before anyone else. The winner was Dogesarelife25077.
The sixth way to get the Jumpscare Emote was to win in an Oculus' Game wavedata named "Texas" where Revolver was the only item that spawned and 15 Laa-Laas roamed the map. The winners were MYINSANITYISGROWING and Byemax.
The seventh way to get the Jumpscare Emote was to win in a similar wavedata named "Texas 2" respectively, with less Laa-Laas but with several Crates chasing players. There was also slight health drain, and you took more damage the higher the waves got. You could kill players or crates to regen some of the health lost. Two players each recieved the item through the seventh and eighth methods. The winners of Texas 2 were NubIette and TheCartoonBoy.
The eighth way to get the Jumpscare Emote was to post a MH-related meme in the discord and type "fishin_dishin_heres_my_submission". The goal was simple, post a meme so people react, each skull reaction gave 1 point although the host (Blithwin) could react with a ghost emoji for 50 points. It started on February 22nd, and ended on March 1st. The winner was Tycromza.
The ninth way to get the Jumpscare Emote was to find a GIF that Blithwin was searching for, it being a rogue lineage gif with the caption "So be it." The search began on September 12th, 6PM and ended almost exactly 2 hours later. The winner and person who found the gif was ashlyynna. You can view the gif here.
The tenth way to get the Jumpscare Emote was to participate in a four corners event hosted by Blithwin and get lucky enough to be the last person standing. Players had to pick and choose to stand on one corner per round, and 1-3 of them would be deleted. The winner was Astral_Dragons.
The eleventh way to get the Jumpscare Emote was to be the first person to beat the aptly named "Crazy Mode" of a minesweeper inspired game called Bomb-o-Grams with video evidence. Crazy Mode was accessible through the holding the right mouse button or spacebar and pressing play. The first person to beat it and thus the winner was ElDemog0rg0n.
The final and twelfth way to get the Jumpscare Emote(s) were awarded from the Goodbye Fecta event. Seven jumpscare emotes were awarded. Three were given out from Byemax and trueem as vouchers they won to feinmanz, TapuniumX, and VelvytBunni. Two more were awarded to nontoasted_corgi and EVlLKITTYCAT for their placements. An additional two were given to Oblivionisbruh and K_nwa from a randomly selected raffle.

- The Jumpscare emote was used as a placeholder item for the April Fools’ 2021 event, before being replaced by the Pipe Bomb.
- Currently, only 20 players have the Jumpscare emote, not including Blithwin himself.
- Jumpscare appears in the players inventory instead of in the emote selection menu. Holding the item and clicking replaces the user's current emote with Jumpscare.
