Murderous Egg is a Killer in Midnight Horrors. It was temporarily added in Version 1.40.0 (Easter 2022) and re-added again in Version 1.50.0 (Easter 2023). It either originates from a meme within the internet or is just a joke killer created by a person in the community.

Behavior

Upon spawning, Murderous Egg will chase and pursue nearby players. Murderous Egg moves somewhere between a normal player's base speed. When reaching a player, Murderous Egg will stab them with it's two knives, dealing decent damage with a moderate cooldown.

Every so often, Murderous Egg will spin with its two knives. This doesn't affect its speed, instead, it will affect it's damage output and attack cooldown. It will rapidly drain any player's HP on contact at fast speeds, so quick reactions are quite important to deal with it.

Whenever it gets tripped or bonked, its shell will crack open and "kill" it, leaving the remains as a egg yolk. A short while after getting killed, it will respawn at the location where it was murdered. This time, an extra Murderous Egg will accompany the main Murderous Egg, slightly increasing its difficulty.

Notes

• All coils available are capable of outrunning Murderous Egg.
• Although looking like an ordinary killer with a low threat level, you should probably avoid it at all cost due to its range.
• Murderous Egg bypasses the Blue Relic, although it only deals less damage.

Trivia

• Murderous Egg will emit a modified "SPEEN" sound effect when spinning, much like Noob with a Fish.
• CaptainSpinxs ran a small poll on the Discord server to see which of the 2 temporary Easter killers would stay in-game, which Moyai won.
  • Although, CaptainSpinxs has said that Murderous Egg will come back in the next Easter Event.
• In Version 1.55.0 (April Fools' 2024), Murderous Egg was renamed to "🥚🔪".
• In Version 1.61.0 (April Fools' 2025), Murderous Egg was renamed to "EGG".
• If Murderous Egg spawns on THE BLENDER, it will clone itself infinitely as the map trips anything that comes into contact with it.
  • This will very likely result in the server freezing to the point of becoming unplayable.
