Radar is an Item in Midnight Horrors. It can be purchased in the shop for 30 points. The Radar is used to detect and tell the player how far the Killers are in studs. Radar also emits certain beeps, green being 'safe' and red being 'danger'. It was added to the Shop in Version 1.0.
Effect[]
Studs is the measurement of how far an object is from another object, or how long a part is when placed on a baseplate. In the case with the Radar, the Radar measures studs by how far the player's current position is from the killer's current position. If multiple killers are active, Radars will display the distance of the closest killer. For non-tangible killers like A SPECIAL PRESENTATION, Radars will display the distance from the Red Circle of Oculus.
500 Studs is the maximum limit a Radar can go to and anything exceeding that limit will result in 'Out of Range'. The higher the number, the further away a killer is from the player. The lower the number, the closer the killer is from the player.
Notes[]
- There's a glitch where the Radar will not work on a few multi-threat killers (e.g. The Fruit Bunch).
- There is a short delay between beeps where the stud distance, however by rapidly unequipping and then equipping the radar again this delay can be circumvented. This could possibly be useful against killers with high speed or teleports, though for most killers this is unnecessary.
- The Radar used to cost 60 points in older versions.
