"Why can't i find this killer in-game?..."
This Killer is no longer in Midnight Horrors and cannot be seen in-game.
Goodbye, old friend.

Ravenous Nightmare was a Killer in Midnight Horrors. Ravenous Nightmare is an avatar killer representing the ROBLOX user AM_B0RED. He was added in Version 1.22.0.

Behavior[]

Like most Killers in Midnight Horrors, Ravenous Nightmare will chase nearby players, moving slightly slower than the Speed Coil. Ravenous Nightmare's main attack is to swing his oversized sword at players, dealing a large amount of damage that also temporarily stuns players on impact. The impact will also knock players back, which may make it less efficient in taking down players quickly, this may also allow players to escape before Ravenous Nightmare is able to perform another swing. This attack is capable of killing players and ally NPCs in just 2 hits (3 with Double Health), decapitating them on kill.

Ravenous Nightmare will execute his second attack when he gets relatively close to a player, Ravenous Nightmare will charge towards the player in a straight line while holding his hand out. Getting caught while he charges will make him grab the player by the head and repeatedly slam the player's face against the ground multiple times before tossing the dead player aside. The player caught in this attack is instantly killed upon being grabbed. This attack can, occasionally, be used with no cooldown, allowing Ravenous Nightmare to very quickly close the distance between him and his target.

Every so often, Ravenous Nightmare may become powered up, in which he will be surrounded by a crimson aura. This will make him speed up and add a few extra features to his attacks. While powered up, Ravenous Nightmare's normal swings will cause a large explosion, knocking any players back while dealing a very high amount of damage, instantly killing players without Double Health. If Ravenous Nightmare were to do his dash attack while powered up, he will perform the empowered slash at the end of his dash if he does not collides with a player or ally NPC. If he does catch a player however, he will play but instantly skip the slam animation while performing an even stronger empowered slash, instantly killing and decapitating anyone caught nearby. After a little while, Ravenous Nightmare will go back into his normal state. Ravenous Nightmare's temporary power up have random durations and cooldowns.

Notes[]

  • While cloaked in the crimson aura, Ravenous Nightmare will move at the same speed as the Heliotrope Coil.
  • Ravenous Nightmare will attack ally NPCs but will not target Toast.
  • Ravenous Nightmare is stun immune.
  • Ravenous Nightmare will ignore players and Angel NPCs with invulnerability active.
    • Additionally, all of Ravenous Nightmare's attacks will have absolutely no effect on the invulnerable players, even those caught in his empowered attacks.
  • Ravenous Nightmare's power up does not disappear after attacks, meaning he may perform multiple empowered attacks consecutively before the effect wears off.
  • Players that have lost all their lives to Ravenous Nightmare or by other means will not be targeted by him, this includes players that have joined the server mid-round.
    • Players that are not targeted by Ravenous Nightmare can still be hit and killed by his attacks.

Trivia[]

  • Ravenous Nightmare's weapon is a reference to "Mimicry," an EGO weapon in Lobotomy Corporation.
  • Ravenous Nightmare's name is probably a pun on the words "ravenous" and "raven".
  • A "hello?" can be heard at the end of each of Ravenous Nightmare's empowered slash. This sound is from Nothing There from Lobotomy Corporation, whose EGO weapon is also the weapon of this killer.
  • Ravenous Nightmare's name most likely comes from a sword in the catalog, which is also called Ravenous Nightmare.
  • Ravenous Nightmare Used to appear in another Roblox game titled Oculus' Game, a game also made by CaptainSpinxs, and was capable of spawning anywhere between Waves 7-9, specifically the 'Hard' difficulty, replacing Revenant And Adding BongBong In Oculus' Game
  • In Version 1.48.0 (Winter 2023), Ravenous Nightmare was renamed to "Ravenous Pyramid", remodeled to resemble Pyramid Head, and had his theme changed to Descent into Cerberon.
  • Ravenous Nightmare was removed in Version 1.53.1. He was replaced with BongBong.
