Specimen 12 is a Killer in Midnight Horrors. He originates from Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion where he is one of the many enemies the player encounters throughout the game. He was re-added in Version 1.3.10 and revamped in Version 1.23.0.
Behavior[]
Like most killers in Midnight Horrors, Specimen 12 will actively pursue and chase nearby players. Specimen 12 doesn’t move very fast, being only barely faster than running speed. If any players were near Specimen 12, he will kill them in 2 blows with a short cooldown.
If Specimen 12 doesn’t land a hit on anyone for 15 seconds, he will emit a loud scream gain a huge speed boost that can outrun the Heliotrope Coil. Specimen 12 will remain in this state until he lands a hit on someone, after which he will return back to his original speed.
Notes[]
- All speed coils available in Midnight Horrors are capable of outrunning Specimen 12 when he's not charging, however, only the Emerald Coil can outrun him when he is charging.
- Specimen 12 will walk even slower if there aren't any players nearby.
- Specimen 12 has stun immunity.
- Specimen 12 will chase and kill Ally NPCs such as the noobs from Noob Tube

- In Version 1.6 (April Fools' 2020), Specimen 12 was renamed to "Old Man with scythe".
- In Version 1.20.0 (April Fools' 2021), Specimen 12 was renamed to "Specimen".
- In Version 1.55.0 (April Fools' 2024), Specimen 12 was renamed to "Specimen 7".
- His name during that time is a reference to Specimen 7, wich originate from the same game Specimen 12 came from
- In Version 1.55.0 (April Fools' 2025), Specimen 12 was renamed to "Specimen 923".

- Specimen 12 was removed in version 1.22.4, and was added back in Version 1.23.0 when his revamp was done.
- Specimen 12 currently appears in another Roblox game titled Oculus' Game, a game also made by CaptainSpinxs, and is capable of spawning anywhere between Waves 7-9, specifically the 'Hard' difficulty.
- Unlike the other specimen killers, Specimen 12 himself is not actually a specimen. In fact, the mansion where he resides is- he is simply a host for Specimen 12 and is posessed.
- Prior to this, he was a vlogger who explored abandoned urban locations.
