"Even when reduced to bones the cosmos refuses to let him rest until he has completed his destiny."
- The Corpse of The Saint's bestiary flavor text
The Corpse of The Saint was a Boss in Midnight Horrors. He was added in version 1.51, being the final boss for the 2nd part of the Easter 2023 Event.
After beating The one with the Big Sword, you can use the key you got from the boxes to open up the chamber that is holding The Corpse Of The Saint.
Fight[]
After collecting the chamber key from the cafeteria storage room and defeating The one with the Big Sword, the player must make their way toward the chamber gates. Which upon unlocking, the Saint will break free of his chains, and the battle commences. The Corpse Of The Saint has 150 Health Points.
Attacks[]
- Slice Barrage: Raises his sword toward the player momentarily, before charging at them, he will then continuously swing at the player for 7 strikes.
- Slice Barrage (Alt): If the player stays away from the Saint during the slice barrage for too long, he will slam his sword on the player. This attack is unavoidable due to how quickly the Saint approaches the player before the sword slam.
- Stab Lunge: Readies his sword, before swiftly lunging at the player.
- Ramming Sprint: Dashes backwards and prepares his sword, then breaks into a sprint that ends with a slash. If the player were to attempt parrying this, they will take increased damage and lose all block posture.
- Ground Slam: Pummels the ground, creating a large expanding shockwave.
- Jump Slam: Jumps high up into the air, before crushing the ground below him, creating a shockwave. This attack cannot be blocked. After landing, he will do a Spin Slash immediately afterward.
- Spin Slash: Dashes toward the player while sweeping the area around him. Afterward he may sometimes jump back and create a shockwave.
- Consecutive Slashes: Quickly slashes forward, he has a chance to do up to 2 additional slashes that boost him forward.
- Piercing Kick: Kicks at the player, then stomps in front of himself, creating an AOE explosion. If the Kick blocked, the player receives increased damage.
- Cutter Beam: Jumps back, before cutting the air, creating a fast moving projectile. Cannot be blocked.
- [PASSIVE] Poison Marker: Upon reaching roughly 80% HP, a marker is placed on the player. The marker will slowly dim over time, only to be replenished by landing hits on the Saint. When the marker is fully extinguished, the poison will begin rapidly drain the player's HP.
- [PASSIVE] Inkwell Summon: A skeleton of an Inkwell appears from the sand, which zooms toward the player to bite them once before retreating back into the sand.
Trivia[]
- The Corpse of the Saint is, as his in-game nickname implies, is a corpse that is essentially a zombie skeleton. The chamber he was locked in constantly manipulates time to prevent any possible escape. The player having entered this torture chamber stalled it's time-manipulation effect.
- Gravity and whatnot somehow forces Moulfarou's corpse to continue moving.
- He was killed by Gilgamesh after he got Moulfarou to lower his guard so he could bombard him with multiple spears due to Moulfarou having been that powerful. Gilgamesh's efforts to kill him resulted in the creation of the Mariana Trench.
- His actual name is Moulfarou and, despite being born to a psychopathic Scrybe named Moularied, he was a kindhearted person who strived for the best of others and wanted to bestow his morals to his son.
- After the player defeats the zombie version of Moulfarou, he is knocked out long enough for Estoc to swoop in and land the killing blow and take the remains back to Mouldread.
- As a result of the player and Moulfarou both being chosen ones (which the player is a chosen one of Gilgamesh) they both cancel out each other and it all boils down to a battle of skill.
- The holes in Moulfarou's hands were injuries from a previous encounter with Gilgamesh's forces
- Moulfarou's capable of boiling his ink (due to his Chosen One status) and is powerful enough to create an army of Ink Constructs that could "recreate the Attack on Titan Rumbling" (AKA flatten the world).
- Moulfarou's incredibly strong overall, being God's sole Chosen One and gaining the title's full benefits. The Corpse of the Saint is nowhere near as strong as his original self.
- Moulfarou has around 8 inkwells (due to being God's Chosen One).
