Twilight is a Killer in Midnight Horrors. It originates from 123jl123's Plate game test. It was added in Version 1.36.1 (Valentines 2022).

Behavior[]

Unlike other killers, Twilight, rather than chasing like how most killers do, will hover towards any players nearby at high speeds. Twilight has the capability to phase through walls, preventing it from getting stuck. Twilight has multiple attacks to help it wipe out players.

  • CLAW - Twilight will use it's claw to perform an AoE attack onto a nearby player(s). When this happens, any nearby players caught in the AoE will be dealt with high damage. It usually takes 3 hits to kill players with this attack.
  • RANGED WINGS - Twilight will stop in place before deploying multiple projectiles from it's wings. The projectiles will soon fall onto the position of a player, dealing the same damage as the Claw attack as well as tripping nearby players.
  • CONTROL - Twilight will imply a screen effect to a player's screen. When this happens, the player will be forced to go towards the location where Twilight is before stopping for 5 seconds. During this state, the player will not be able to control their character, making them vulnerable to Twilight himself and mostly resulting in death. Not only this, the player's camera will be also forced to look at Twilight, hindering their vision much more.

Similar to how HorroMist behaves, Twilight takes priority of killing every player present in the server, and will not pay attention to players who have already died to it. If Twilight successfully kills every player in the server, it'll fly around the map aimlessly until the round ends.

Notes[]

  • Twilight may not bypass Blue Relic.
  • Texts and quotes will appear on every player's screen when he performs an attack.
  • Twilight is considered quite easy to avoid as his attacks can sometimes only affect one player.
  • To avoid Twilight's Control attack, you need to force your character to face the opposite direction where Twilight is.
    • This will immediately remove the effect unless you looked at him again.
    • Sometimes this will not work and you will still be controlled.
  • Twilight's Control attack does not actually have pathfinding.

Quotes[]

  • Nothing will dare harm you.
  • What if something is taken from me while i turn away for a split second?
  • ...I'm afraid. I'm afraid of what the end might be like.
  • The blade is always pointed in the same direction... The one that i deem correct.
  • Sink with me together. Don't take another step forward, and just stop here...
  • This is my judgement and punishment against all, and salvation at the same time.
  • Those who endure until the last moment shall reach an apocalypse for themselves...
  • The darkness will forever be the same, so I only have myself to trust... I surrender all of my being to the fire at last.
  • I am but one of the many who play the tunes of the apocalypse in the abyss...
  • Finally. The strength and outcome I have mustered are revealed... The time has come to punish my wrongdoings and yours alike.
  • What if my mind wavered-deterred me from making a fair outcome?
  • Although, the end won't be as excruciating as now-feeling what it might be...
  • When you reach the end, there will be no such thing as fear...
  • Seeing this, what can I accomplish with my small power...

Trivia[]

  • Twilight currently appears in another Roblox game titled Oculus' Game, a game also made by CaptainSpinxs, and is capable of spawning anywhere in Wave 10 or higher, specifically the 'Impossible' difficulty.
  • Twilight's design and attack mechanics are most likely inspired by Roland in a form of Apocalypse Bird from Library of Ruina.
